Short Term Mission Trips

Churches have asked how they might help us by visiting us in Zambia and doing a Short Term Missions Trip.

Here are some ideas of possible trips. Please contact us to see if one of these trips might be possible for you as well as for more information about how to plan your trip.

Help us Move

We need help packing up our home in May of 2012 as we complete our time in the USA. Some tasks we need help with are:

	Packing our belongings in an attic where we have stored our things
	Repainting some walls
	Cleaning & setting up our home for renters

Tabernacle Evangelism

In partnering with local churches your team can help build a permanent church building for Zambian congregation. Only the metal roof and the concrete supports are erected. The remainder of the building must be finished by the local people.

This trip is combined with evangelism and outreaches to the local community. Participants get to partake in the deduction of the new partially done building on the last Sunday. Tasks include:

	Concrete work
	Metal work
	Outreaches to local community through youth or children's events

Video Production

We need one or two people who can come and film our work and make several promotional DVDs that we can send to encourage our partners. A three minute, five minute and 10 minute script would need to be written and produced.

Bible Translation Center Construction

One our biggest needs is permanent Bible Translation Center. The ideal location would be somewhere in or near the capital city of Zambia, Lusaka. Should the Lord provide the funds for the purchase of property we would need help to do the following:

	Laying block walls
	construction of roof
	plumbing
	electrical
	Finishing
	Concrete floors

Computer Help

We need one or two people with computer experience to come to Zambia to help us and the missionary community with our computer needs. We have been given donated computers that need repair before they can be used by Bible Translation projects.

Other things you may help with are reviewing anti-virus and security issues and general software and hardware problems. Being able to network several computers in a home office is also something we need help with.

Taabua New Testament Distribution in the DR Congo

A large and adventurous project would be to help with the distribution of the Taabua New Testament in south eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Taabua New Testament was completed in 2006 but many obstacles still remain to get the printed Scriptures to the people.

Another organization, Operation Mobilization Zambia, has rebuilt a boat on the southern tip of Lake Tanganyika, in northern Zambia. One of the uses of the boat could be to distribute the Taabua New Testament.
